According to preliminary information, the chase started in the Barstow area with two suspects inside a white sedan traveling southbound on I-15 around 2pm November 18, 2024.

The pursuit came to an end when the driver of the suspected white sedan slammed head-on into a CHP vehicle at the Palmdale Road onramp also striking a dark gray Honda Odyssey mini-van. The CHP Officer in the Ford Explorer was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The male suspect was transported by ground ambulance with minor injuries. A female was taken by Reach Air Medical #43 to Loma Linda University Medical Center for a broken bone and other injuries. 

Authorities said the suspect will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon with more charges will be added up when the investigation is over. We are working closely with CHP to ensure all aspects of this incident are fully investigated.
