CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A possible road rage incident between two people led to both drivers going over the side of the freeway Saturday morning at the top of the Cajon Pass. Neither driver sustained serious injuries. (Photo above is credit of Lindsey Mora)
This incident happened about 7:45 am on November 23, 2024, about a half mile after the Oak Hill Road exit. California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department were called to the scene and they blocked the fast lane.
Two vehicles were reported involved in the road rage incident. Both were driving southbound on Interstate 15, one in the fast lane and one in the second lane. One of the vehicles reportedly made contact with the other driver, this contact sent both vehicles over the side of the center divider. Both vehicles overturned and went down the embankment. Both of the vehicles landed about 75 feet down the embankment off the side of the freeway. One vehicle was reported to be a silver SUV, and the other vehicle was a silver Toyota sedan.
It was reported neither driver required medical attention.
The investigation is ongoing and information can change. At this time the CHP Traffic Log stated it as a road rage incident.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
