PINION HILLS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two people were airlifted and were among 3 hurt following a five-vehicle crash on Highway 138

Emergency crews responded to the crash, which occurred at 2:04 am on November 29, 2024. On Highway 138 at Wintergreen Road in the town of Pinion Hills. One of the vehicles involved was green Lincoln Navigator, Jeep unknown model, black Cadillac unknown model, and two more unknown vehicles.

When California Highway Patrol arrived on scene, they said two people were trapped. One person from the Lincoln and in the Jeep. Both were extricated by first responders. Rescue crew called for at least two medical helicopters to land at the scene. Mercy Air #2 helicopter and Reach Air Medical #43 helicopter landed on Hwy 138 and transported both to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. One person was transported by ground ambulance.

All of them, current condition is unknown. It is unclear if there were any other injuries in the incident.

It wasn’t immediately determined what may have caused the collision. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at the time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
