HIGH DESERT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Wind Advisory for Saturday afternoon throught the night. A Gusty Wind Event is for the mountains, Victor/Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley, and the Mojave Desert locations.

A weather system is going to sweep through Southern California on Tuesday. Gusty southwest winds are expected with the weather system. Also there is a small chance of rain showers this afternoon.

The Pain In The Pass has issued a Wind Advisory for the high desert. With winds blowing around 30-40+ mph in the Victor/Apple Valley area. Parts of the Barstow area will have 40-50 mph winds. Lucerne Valley area will have 40-50 mph winds. Mountains will have gust 30 to 50+ mph. Stateline/Primm NV will have 40-50 mph winds. Max wind gust will be 50 mph in spots.

Potential for hazardous crosswinds and blowing dust on Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass through Stateline NV as well as other area roadways.

Also secure all outdoor stuff like chairs, BBQ, and Christmas decorations.

The Wind Advisory should expire by late Tuesday night.
