CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 20-year-old woman died early this morning in a single-vehicle car crash. She veered off the northbound Interstate 15 lanes smashed into multiple parked vehicles and trailers at the top of the Cajon Pass, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 12:28am Saturday morning March 8, 2025, just before the Oak Hill Road off-ramp to the northbound 15 Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to a San Bernardino County Fire Department dispatcher, paramedics dispatched to the scene at Desert Valley Towing yard in Oak Hills with a white Mazda 3 sedan with major front-end damage to the Mazda.
The vehicle reportedly veered off the freeway, smashed into a chain-link fence, and landed in the Desert Valley Tow yard, that is located between the 15 Freeway and Mariposa Road.
Rescue personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver deceased.
Family members arrived shortly after and were informed of her passing.
The exact reason for the crash remains unknown at this time.
