APPLE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two men were killed, in a single-car rollover crash on northbound Interstate 15 late Tuesday night.
California Highway Patrol say the crash happened about 11:19pm on March 18, 2025, on northbound I-15 near the Hodge Road exit. The black 2017 Chevrolet Equinox SUV was on its roof when CHP arrived.
The CHP said the Chevy was traveling northbound on I-15 near Hodge Rd. before leaving the freeway hitting a section of guardrail, pole and entering the dirt on the right shoulder.
It was reported the driver was travel at high speeds prior to overcorrected their steering, causing the vehicle to lose control, fishtail, and rollover on the interstate, hitting the guardrail, striking a pole, and coming to rest soon on the right shoulder.
Apple Valley Fire Department and CHP said, two male adults were trapped inside the SUV. Firefighters rendered aid to the driver and passenger. Sadly, the driver and passenger succumbed to their injuries sustained in the crash.
CHP said in a press release the driver of the Chevy was a 43-year-old Victorville man and his passenger was a 36-year-old Apple Valley man. Both their identities were not released pending notification of family by the San Bernardino County coroner’s officials.
