California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire responded to the traffic collision involving a gray Mazda3 sedan and a semi tractor trailer about 12:45pm on March 30, 2025. The collision was located on southbound Interstate 15 just after the Cleghorn Road exit.

Speeding may have caused the driver to lose control of the Mazda, then shot across all the lanes, and crash into the side of a passing semi tractor trailer.

No injuries were at the scene.

The semi driver said, they were transporting general Walmart freight not hazardous materials freight inside the trailer.

Traffic was backup for about 7 miles as a tow truck was able to remove the car from the right shoulder.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
