CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol says that minor injuries were reported after a crash between a semi tractor-trailer and a SUV on Interstate 15 early Friday morning.
At about 12:50am on Friday April 4, 2025, a CHP officer was dispatched to southbound I-15 just after Cleghorn Road for a vehicle stuck under a semi-trailer. The two vehicles involved in the collision was a brown 2023 Buick Enclave SUV and a white semi tractor-tractor.
The caller who reported the crash alleged that the driver of the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed before running into the back of the semi-truck traveling at freeway speeds. The caller said, the semi driver didn’t realize the Buick was stuck under the trailer. He said, he made the semi driver pulled over to the right shoulder of the freeway.
Multiple lanes of the southbound 15 Freeway were shut down due to the crash and rescue the driver.

Authorities confirmed that one person was trapped in the heavily damaged Enclave. The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene to cut the male driver out of the vehicle, allegedly complaining about sustaining minor injuries. He was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities believe alcohol or he fall asleep, that could have been a factor in the crash.
