CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> San Bernardino County Fire, alongside California Highway Patrol, responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 15 Sunday evening.
CHP and the Fire Department were getting calls of a black Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV on fire in the right shoulder about a mile after the Highway 138 exit at 6:34pm on April 6, 2025.
Firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.
The everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene.
It was reported flames were under the engine compartment. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
