CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Northbound Interstate 15is now reopened, California Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the accident.

CHP and San Bernardino County Fire Department responding to a three-vehicle crash on northbound I-15 just before the Highway 138 exit about 1:44pm on May 12, 2025. The vehicles involved was a silver Ford F150 pickup truck, white Toyota Highlander, and a black Kia Sportage SUV.

CHP said the two left lanes of northbound I-15 have been closed and delays are expected.

Traffic is backed up from Sierra Avenue up to the crash site as crews work to respond and remove the vehicles.

At least one person had moderate injuries, but the extent and condition of the other drivers have not been released. One person was transported to a local hospital. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
