WRIGHTWOOD, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was airlifted to the hospital after a vehicle hit a house in Wrightwood on Friday.

Dispatchers received 911 calls about a black Honda CRV that had crashed into a home on Apple Vista Drive in the town of Wrightwood around 7pm on May 23, 2025.

The early indication from the scene “While driving on Rivera Dr, the driver may have mistaken the gas for the brakes. This caused the vehicle to leave the roadway or driveway. The Honda went down the embankment overturned multiple times and crashed into a house on Apple Vista Dr.

The elderly man was trapped and needed to be pulled out, with help by good Samaritans.

The man did sustain major injuries to his head and were taken by ambulance to a waiting medical helicopter.

Mercy Air helicopter #22 landed nearby and transport him to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

The driver was not intoxicated. In the crash.
