CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass caused some major traffic delays Friday morning.
California Highway Patrol say the initial crash was reported around 4:11am on June 27, 2025, on northbound I-15 just after Highway 138 exit.
From the CHP traffic log the initial crash reported said the driver of a black Mercedes-Benz sedan made contact with a semi tractor trailer. The driver of the semi slowed to a stop and the driver of a maroon Ford Fusion sedan rear-ended the semi-trailer.
It was reported the driver of the Mercedes was throwing cans and a box of hard seltzer over the shoulder of the freeway.
A person was taken from the scene in an ambulance to a local hospital.
The driver was questioned of suspicion of operating while intoxicated. No update if the driver was arrested or booked with a DUI.
