CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The driver of a semi tractor-trailer escaped with no injuries after a crash along Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol said, the crash was reported around 3:47am on June 27, that sent the tractor-trailer down an embankment and onto a county road below.
Officials said the white semi-tractor was heading south on Interstate 15 approaching the Cleghorn Road exit, when it veered off the right side of I-15, continued down the embankment, onto Cajon Boulevard hitting a power pole. Hitting the power pole stop the semi from enter the train tracks nearby.
The semi driver was able to get out and walking around the rig after the crash.
Photo from the scene showed the wreckage of the semi, where it came to rest below the freeway.
The county road remained blocked into morning, as crews worked to clear the wrecked semi and fixed the power pole.
No injuries were reported.
Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear.
