CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Car fire lights up the night sky on the 4th of July in the Cajon Pass on Interstate 15 Friday night.
The car fire was reported about 10:27pm on Friday July 4, 2025, with the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire were on scene to extinguish car the fire about two miles before the Cleghorn Road exit in the center divider.
CHP and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the left lane and the #2 lane while they worked on getting the vehicle extinguish.
Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
It was reported flames were under the engine compartment, before the whole vehicle caught fire. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
