BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Hundreds of nails were scattered across the southbound Interstate 15 on Sunday.
The incident happened about 5:54pm on August 3, 2025 on southbound I-15 just after the Lenwood Road exit.
The spill affected all traffic lanes with multiple vehicles running over the box of nails. CHP reported at least one vehicle pulled over to the shoulder with a flat tire.
CHP officers quickly responded to the scene, and issue a traffic break to pick up nails out of the roadway.
It’s unknown how it happened or if any more vehicles drove over the nails.
