CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A crash involving a pickup truck and a semi tractor-trailer caused significant traffic delays on northbound Interstate 15 Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded at approximately 10:40am on August 17, 2025, to a report of a crash on northbound I-15 about a mile before the Oak Hill Road exit.
A white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck rear-ended a semi tractor-trailer pulling a cargo container on a flat-bed trailer, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to the driver of the truck.
The crash caused significant traffic delays on I-15 during the morning due to the collision blocking the 3 right lanes. Authorities reported that traffic was flowing normally again by 12 noon in the area.
The driver of the pickup truck allegedly complaining about sustaining only minor injuries.
The semi driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
