BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A simple traffic stop Saturday morning on Interstate 15 turned into a drug bust worth possibly 10 million dollars.
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, at approximately 12:14am, Barstow Police Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a semi-tractor trailer for a vehicle code violation in the area of Northbound Interstate 15 and Lenwood Road.
During the enforcement stop, officers contacted the driver, 32-year-old Arizona resident Yuvari Singh. A Barstow Police officer deployed his K9 around the tractor-trailer, which alerted to the trailer, indicating the presence of narcotics.
Officers advised Singh of the K9 alert, and Singh consented to a search of the vehicle and trailer. During the search, officers located 453 Kilograms of suspected Cocaine wrapped in packaging and concealed between boxes.
Officers arrested Singh and later booked him at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for HS 11351 – Possessing Illegal Narcotics for Sale, and HS 11352(a) – Transportation of Illegal Narcotics. Officers seized the narcotics and booked them at the Barstow Police Department.
