PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Semi tractor-trailer was trying to make a U-turn on Highway 138 Monday night, crossing directly in front of a pickup truck.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:19pm on September 29, 2025. The location was just east of Interstate 15 on Highway 138.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck crashed into the side of semi-trailer. The Semi driver attempted the illegal U-turn with the pick-up truck couldn’t stop.
The impact left the Chevy lodged into the side of the trailer and caused major front-end damage to the truck.
The whole highway was blocked until rescues workers arrived on scene.
Only minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
