SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The driver of a semi tractor-trailer was killed in a Thursday morning crash on Interstate 215 in San Bernardino. According to California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on southbound I-215 just past the Orange Show Road exit. According to CHP. The crash was reported around 1:55am on October 2, 2025.
The driver of the semi lost control while approaching a small bend on the freeway, struck a freeway concrete barrier on the right shoulder, then overturned and hit a freeway sign pole.
The semi bottom dump double-trailer was hauling rocks and explode in flames after the crash.
Emergency crews tried to put out the fire and rescue the driver who was unable to escape.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
CHP and Caltrans closed 3 traffic lanes for multiple hours during the initial investigation and cleanup.
