YERMO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol found a person with a gunshot wound to the head in a vehicle Monday afternoon has died from the injuries, CHP said.
Officers responded just after 3pm on October 13, 2025, on northbound Interstate 15 Field Road offramp of a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the ramp.
According to the CHP traffic log said, officer arrived at the scene, they located a person inside the vehicle with apparent gunshot wound to the head.
CHP indicated that the person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As of Monday evening, investigators were working to determine if a suspect had been in another vehicle or was on foot when the shooting took place, or possibly self-inflicted wound.
Investigators are collecting evidence and searching for witnesses.
CHP have not yet publicly identified the person who was killed.
