PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> For the second time in less than a month a semi tractor-trailer was trying to make a U-turn on Highway 138 crossing directly in front of a pickup truck. This time was on Thursday night.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:45pm on October 16, 2025. The location was just West of Interstate 15 on Highway 138.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck crashed into the side of semi-trailer. From reports the semi driver was attempted the illegal U-turn with the pick-up truck couldn’t stop in time.

The impact left the Toyota with major front-end damage.
Only minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
