BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A hit-and-run crash on southbound Interstate 15 Sunday afternoon leaves a motorcyclist seriously injured.
The incident happened around 2:27pm on October 19, 2025, on southbound I-15 about 3 miles after the Zzyzx Roasd exit. California Highway Patrol say the rider was down on the right shoulder of the freeway. The motorcycle landed in the center divider.
At this time an unknown vehicle, also traveling southbound made contact with the motorcycle causing the crash. On the CHP traffic log stated the vehicle fled the scene without stopping. Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect vehicle and are asking any witnesses to come forward.
The rider was airlifted by medical helicopter due to medical needs determined by rescue personnel on scene. Mercy Air #66 airlifted the rider to Antelope Valley Medical Center with serious injuries.
