HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The driver killed in a head-on crash on Summit Valley Road that happened on Tuesday has been identified as a 43-year-old Hesperia man.
Leandro Aguirre, was killed in the crash that took place Tuesday late afternoon just after 4:30pm on November 18, 2025, in the area of Summit Valley Rd. and Cataba Rd. San Bernardino County Coroner said.
Aguirre was driving his 2005 dark gray Honda Accord on northbound when, for undetermined reasons, he crossed into the opposing traffic lane, CHP officials said.
The Honda collided head-on with a 2007 black Nissan Armada SUV traveling southbound.
San Bernardino County Fire said, Aguirre was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The female driver of the Nissan a resident from Apple Valley was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
