CRESTLINE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s are investigating the death of an unidentified woman whose body was discovered early this month near Highway 138.
Officials said deputies responded around 11:42am Tuesday, November 18, 2025. after reports of a person found deceased on a steep embankment off of Hwy 138 and Crestline Road. The woman was located about 75 feet down the mountainside, and the San Bernardino County Fire assisted in retrieving her before she was transported to the Coroner’s Office.
Jane Doe, is described as a white female between 48 and 60 years old, approximately 5’1” tall and weighing 115 pounds, with bleached blonde hair and brown eyes. She had no tattoos and was wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue pants, and white and black New Balance shoes.
An autopsy indicated injuries consistent with a fall, but the circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation.
