CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 38-year-old Fontana man was killed in a crash on northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass on Wednesday afternoon.
Jesse R. Navarro, was driving on northbound I-15 when he collided with a semi tractor-trailer at about 2:30pm on December 10, 2025. The was located just after the Kenwood Avenue exit.
He was the driver and lone occupant of a black Dodge Ram pickup truck that was traveling in the #4 lane at an undetermined speed just prior to the collision, California Highway Patrol officials said in a written statement.
“For reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle collided with the rear of a box truck,” the statement said. “Following the initial crash, the Ram, veered out of control and collided with the rear of tractor-trailer.”
Navarro was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
The other people involved in the collision suffered only minor injuries.
