CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Three northbound lanes of Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass were shut down for hours on Monday late afternoon after the trailer of a semi-truck became detached from the truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened, at 4:06pm December 22, 2025, on northbound I-15 about two miles before the Cleghorn Road exit. A semi tractor-trailer driver was traveling on northbound middle lane.
The semi-truck, which had a 53-foot trailer attached to it, became detached from the tractor and came to rest in the roadway.
Some time after 6pm the trailer was removed by a heavy-duty tow truck.
Traffic was backup all the way to the 210 Freeway at one point.
