LLANO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Multiple crews worked to extinguish a semi on fire on Highway 138 Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 9:53am December 29, 2025. Smoke was seen coming from the engine of the tractor so it pulled onto the shoulder of Hwy 138 near 223rd Street East.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes were closed for more than an hour.
The tractor was destroyed by the fire.
There were no injuries, according to the fire department.
Trailer was fully loaded with lumber that was partly burned.
