EL MIRAGE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 19-year-old man from Victorville was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 395 Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred about 12:12pm on December 28, 2025, on Highway 395 about a mile away from Torosa Road.
From the CHP Traffic Log stated a black Land Rover Luxury SUV was traveling on Hwy 395 when it struck a white 4 door sedan head-on. In results the Land Rover SUV caught fire due to the collision.
When first responders arrived on scene San Bernardino County Fire said, a total of 8 patients were involved. They said, they needed a total of three medical helicopters to land at the scene and multiple ground ambulances.
Two patients were transported by medical helicopters the third one was cancel. Mercy Air 2 and Reach Air Medical 43 both landed at the scene and flown both to Loma Linda University Medical Center
Xavier Macias was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three other patients were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The other victims in the collision were reported to be minor.
