HIGH DESERT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Wind Advisory for Wednesday night into Thursday. A Gusty Wind Event is for Victor/Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley, and the Mojave Desert locations.
A cold front weather system is going to sweep over tonight. Strong gusty winds are expected with the weather system. This could create hazardous driving conditions and areas of blowing dust for the high desert.
The Southern California Weather Force has issued a Wind Advisory for the high deserts. With winds blowing around from the north at 45-55+ mph in the Victor/Apple Valley area. Parts of the Barstow area will have 45-55+ mph winds. Lucerne Valley area will have 45-55+ mph winds. Mountains will have gust 35-45+ mph. Stateline/Primm/Las Vegas NV will have 45-55+ mph winds. Max wind gust will be 60 mph in spots.
Potential for hazardous crosswinds and blowing dust on Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass through Las Vegas NV as well as other roadways in the desert.
Also secure all outdoor stuff like chairs, BBQ, and other outdoor decorations.
The Wind Advisory should expire by Thursday night.
