PRIMM, NV, (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi-trailer burst into flames Tuesday morning along Interstate 15 near Stateline.
The fire happened in the southbound lanes of I-15 about 5 miles before Primm Nevada exit, around 4:30am January 13, 2026. Firefighters and Nevada Highway Patrol had to shut down the two right lanes to fight the fire.
The driver was able to detach the tractor from the trailer to save the tractor cab from catching fire. The trailer became engulfed in flames as firefighters arrived on scene.
It looks like a problem with one of the trailers tires, or the rear trailer brakes that caused the fire.
No injuries were reported.
