LLANO, CA, (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle crash that left one person dead and several others injured Wednesday afternoon on State Highway 138 at 195th Street.
The collision happened around 11:58am on January 14, 2026 on Hwy 138. CHP officers and firefighters were dispatched to a crash scene; they located a red semi cement dump trailer with heavy front-end damage and a white Land Rover Range Rover Velar with heavy driver side damage and a white unknown sedan with major front-end damage and rear damage to the vehicle.
Firefighters were on scene and found one person unresponsive. Shortly after they pronounced deceased at the scene.
Also, they reported all the victims were in critical condition and called for two medical helicopters and multiple people trapped and required extrication.
Two Los Angeles County Fire helicopters #11 and #21 landed at the scene. Both helicopters transported the victims to a local trauma center. One person was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
Highway 138 in both directions was closed for several hours on Wednesday afternoon between 165th St. and Hwy 18 for the crash investigation.
