BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A person has died after being hit by a semi-truck on Highway 247 in Barstow on Saturday.
The incident happened just before 1:45pm on January 17, 2026, on Hwy 247 at mile maker 68 near Charro Road and involved a red cement semi-truck and a pedestrian.
Officers arrived and found a person lying on the ground with severe injuries.
Medics pronounced the person deceased at the scene.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
