BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Anthony Jackson, 35-year-old of Apple Valley, is identified as the pedestrian killed on Saturday afternoon in a crash on Highway 247.
The incident happened just before 1:45pm on January 17, 2026, on Hwy 247 at mile maker 68 near Charro Road and involved a red cement semi-truck and a pedestrian.
Investigators determined that prior to the crash, a red semi hauling a dry bulk tank trailer was headed north on the highway.
“For reasons still under investigation, it was determined the semi driver struck the pedestrian from the right shoulder of the roadway.”

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
