PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A speeding car collided with an pickup truck on Highway 138 Thursday morning, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
It happened on Hwy 138 just after Lone Pine Canyon Road about 7:51am February 5, 2026.
We’re told the driver of a red Ford Mustang was driving erratic and speeding when they crashed into the back of a black Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Both vehicles were blocking westbound Hwy 138 lanes for over a hour with major damage.
The condition of the car and the pickup driver isn’t known at this time, although no injuries were reported.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
