CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The San Bernardino County Fire Department quickly extinguished a vehicle on fire Friday afternoon in the Cajon Pass.
Fire crew quickly extinguished a black Chrysler 200 sedan on fire about 3:25pm February 22, 2026. The vehicle stop on southbound Interstate 15 just after the Oak Hill Road exit. Flames were coming out of the engine compartment area.
The slow lane was closed for about 30 minutes to fight the flames.
Everybody was able to get out of the vehicle safely. Officials said there are no reported injuries.
No additional information about the fire has been released at this time.
