LUCERNE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person is dead after a crash involving two semi-trucks on Highway 247 Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP and San Bernardino County Fire responded just before 1am on February 27, 2026. The crash happened on Highway 247 and Fern Road.
At least one of the semis involved had overturned and caught fire following the impact, spilling cement onto the roadway, from the CHP traffic log.
One person was airlifted by Mercy Air Big Bear Fire Helicopter from the scene to Loma Linda University Medical Center with unknown injuries.
One person was deceased at the scene.
Both directions of Highway 247 were shut down for several hours into the afternoon following the collision.
