CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> – A video of a passenger sticking out of the sunroof of a slow-moving freeway in the Cajon Pass Saturday afternoon.
In the video posted on Facebook, a white male in a white T-shirt is seen halfway out of the top of the SUV, in slow moving traffic.
The 13-second video, which a passenger posted on the Pain In The Pass Facebook Group page on Saturday, had garnered at least 13,000 views as at 5pm on Saturday.
The incident appears to have taken place just before 3pm on southbound Interstate 15 about a mile before the Truck Escape Ramp, according to the video.
California Highway Patrol says such behavior is “extremely dangerous”.
Also, if the vehicle had stopped abruptly, the person could have been flung out of the vehicle. That could lead into injuries or worst a fatal injury.
Drivers are required to follow all road safety and traffic rules/laws, which include ensuring all passengers have their seatbelts fastened.
