BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) One person suffered injuries when a SUV rear-ended a moving semi tractor-trailer on Interstate 15 Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The crash happened at around 2:39pm March 12, 2026, on southbound I-15 freeway about two miles after the Baker Boulevard onramp. The California Highway Patrol said a semi was traveling in the slow lane at freeway speeds.
That’s when a black Nissan Rogue SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed in the left lane and veered into the back of the trailer.
The CHP said, they believed sleep or a medical issue to be a contributing factor to the crash.
San Bernardino County Fire said, one person was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the semi, was reported uninjured.
