SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> At least one person was injured in a head-on crash late Tuesday afternoon on Cajon Boulevard/Route 66, the California Highway Patrol reported.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire received calls of a head-on crash involving two vehicles that happened just before 5pm, Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The crash was reported to be on Cajon Boulevard/Route 66, in a curve near Swarthout Canyon Road.
The two vehicles involved in the head-on crash were a silver Ford Escape SUV and a dark gray Toyota Corolla sedan. It was reported one of the vehicles veered into oncoming traffic.
One person was reportedly transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries, SBFD said.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
