LUDLOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> At least one person was killed in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 40 in the town of Ludlow.
The crash was reported about 7:09am on May 6, 2026, came from an automated crash notification system from an iPhone. The location of the crash was on the eastbound lanes of I-40 about 3 miles after the Crucero Road/Route 66 exit, according to California Highway Patrol officers and the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
CHP traffic log said three vehicles were involved in a crash including at least two semi tractor-trailers.
Responding units arrived to find at least one involved party inside a semi, authorities said.
At least one person was deceased at the scene, CHP said. Their age, gender and identity were not yet known.
No additional information about injuries unknown at this time.
