NEEDLES, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> At least one person was killed in a traffic collision in Needles at approximately 3:47pm Friday afternoon on Needles Highway. according to a California Highway Patrol.
First responders from San Bernardino County Fire were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision involving a black sedan and a white pickup on Needles Hwy near Capri Road.
According to CHP traffic log the driver of the black sedan was driving reckless prior to the collision.
Upon arrival both vehicles catching fire with at least one person was trapped inside of the vehicle involved in the crash.
The crash prompted at least two medical helicopters to respond to the scene. They were both transported to a hospital in Las Vegas in unknown condition.
CHP couldn’t provide information on the circumstances regarding the crash as officers were still at the scene of the incident as of 8pm, conducting their investigation and no additional information was available.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Needles Office.
