LUCERNE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 39-year-old woman was identified following a head-on deadly crash Wednesday morning on Highway 247 in Lucerne Valley involving a sedan and semi-truck.
The identity of the driver was identified as ShanShan Li, a 39-year-old resident of Los Angeles.
The crash happened around 10:50am May 6, 2026, on Hwy 247/Old Woman Springs Road near the area of Stony Ridge Rd. and Old Victor Rd. According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Log.
Li was driving with a passenger in a black Telsa sedan and a driver in a semi-truck hauling dry cement were both traveling on the highway in different directions, “for an unknown reason,” one of the vehicles left the road, went through center line and collided into each other.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene and the passenger was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The semi driver was reported not hurt in the collision.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
