APPLE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The roar of about three hundred motorcycle riders in this group was set out on the annual “Run For The Wall” today to honor all the Military Veterans.
The riders started in Ontario at the convention center and will make it to Washington DC on Memorial Day. They said, this year they have three routes the Central Route, the Midway Route, and the Southern Route all groups will connect to DC.
This group the Midway Route of about 300 motorcycle riders traveled on Interstate 15 to I-40 then to the wall.
All will travel thousands of miles in 10 days, finishing at Washington, D.C. All the groups will meet at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington for a “Mission Accomplished” plaque and wreath-laying ceremony.
Run for the Wall is the largest and longest annual group cross-country motorcycle trek. It began as a Vietnam Veterans’ effort in 1989.
Through the ride, participants aim to promote healing among veterans and their friends and families while also supporting military personnel, remembering those killed and calling for an accounting of prisoners of war and those who went missing in action.
Apple Valley Fire Protection District was honored to participate in and support the 2026 Run For The Wall® as riders made their way through our community today.
The Pain In The Pass Traffic Group says “Thank You” for who gathered along the route waving flags and showing support for those riding in honor of our nation’s heroes.
