HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 15-acre brush fire broke out off of Summit Valley Road near Jenny Street Saturday afternoon.
San Bernardino County Fire Department and with help from CAL Fire were called to the scene of a small brush fire in south Hesperia. This fire was reported just after 1pm Saturday June 13, 2026.
Authorities said the fire was fast-moving, and jumped Summit Valley Rd. towards homes.
The fire was encroaching in the high brush in a small valley, creating flare-ups and difficulty in getting to the fire.
Crews were able to get the fire under control with help with helicopters and airtankers.
At 2pm crews were able to get a dozer line and a fire-retardant line around the flames
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
Fire crews will be out there for several hours this afternoon.
