CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver was rescued Tuesday afternoon after their vehicle went off an embankment on northbound Interstate 15, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 3:46pm June 16, 2026, on the northbound 15 freeway about two miles before the Oak Hill Road exit, near the top of the Cajon Pass.
A witness spotted the silver Ford Flex SUV veer to the left the freeway.
The vehicle kicked up some dust as it went off the side of the freeway. Witnesses said they saw the driver exit the vehicle safely.
It was reported the Ford was approximately 100-200 feet down the embankment.
The fast lane was blocked for over two hours.
No injuries were reported.
The factor what lead up to the collision in under investigation.
