BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A motorcyclist was killed in a three-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 15 in Barstow Wednesday evening.
Just after 6:30pm on July 1, 2026, officers with the California Highway Patrol, along with Barstow Fire, and EMS responded to southbound I-15 at the Barstow Road/Highway 247 onramp for a three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
From the CHP traffic log stated a motorcycle rider, a sedan, and a minivan collided. The contact causes the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle and lying in the middle and slow lane.
Rescue crew responded to the scene. Due to the severity of the motorcyclist’s injuries, they called for a medical helicopter to transported to a local trauma center.
The rider was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
CHP later reported the rider died from his injuries.
Additional details were limited at this time. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
