NEWBERRY SPRINGS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Saturday evening on eastbound Interstate 40.
The traffic incident occurred on July 11, 2026, at approximately 5:33pm on eastbound I-40 freeway at the Desert Oasis Rest Area offramp.
Details regarding the involved vehicle or vehicles description was not immediately available at this time.
No traffic issues from the investigation.
