HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters were battling a 2-acre brush fire in the Mojave River riverbed near the Frontage Road and E Street in Victorville, Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 2:43pm along Frontage Road between southbound Interstate 15 Freeway and the cement plant.
The fire burned approximately two acres with a moderate rate of spread, allowing crews from City of Victorville Fire to work to establish containment lines.
Firefighters stopped the forward progress of the fire around 3:22pm.
No injuries or damage to any structures were immediately reported, nor has there been any word on how the fire started.
