BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver was hospitalized with injuries following a collision with a semi tractor-trailer on Interstate 15 just after the town of Baker Wednesday evening
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire said it happened around 6:02pm July 22, 2026, on the I-15 Freeway northbound side about 5 miles before Halloran Springs Road exit.
Firefighters responded to the scene due to the bobtail box truck catching fire from the collision, according to the CHP Traffic Report. CHP said the driver was able to exit the burning truck and was alert.
Photos from the scene show the box truck major damaged in the fire after crashed into the back of the semi-trailer.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
