CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi-truck driver went on a wild ride early this morning on northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass after a 3-vehicle crash.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire crews were dispatched to a reported three vehicle accident blocking lanes and possible semi-truck down the embankment on northbound I-15 about two miles after the Highway 138 exit on August 5, 2026, at about 1:51am.

When first responders arrived, they found two vehicles blocking the fast lane and a semi-double trailer dump truck about 150 feet down the embankment on the right shoulder of the freeway. The semi landed upright with no major damage.

Two people were taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
They noted the trailers were empty at the time of the incident. A local towing company responded to haul away the semi tractor trailer and the debris on scene.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
